Feline Friday: The Case of the Droopy Collar
Nate’s been complaining about Pixel’s droopy collar for quite some time.
He likes to tell me I bought her a generic, defective collar. Not a well made product like Safe Cat.
So last night, I caved and bought her one at Pet Extreme, our local pet store. (Don’t you love that name?)
The green and white gingham print matches her eyes.
It also keeps her safe with its reflective fabric and buckle that is designed to break away if her collar gets caught.
Both cats have lost multiple collars because of the breakaway buckle, but its peace of mind to know they are not stuck in a tree or crawl space.
Don’t worry the generic collar also had this feature, but you know.. fashion is everything. ![]()
Happy Friday!
The cat becomes the mouse
My sister and her family stopped by on Sunday for a quick visit before heading to the city zoo. Teagan was in great spirits and I was amazed that she has grown so much since Christmas. She seems so much taller!
As soon as she arrived she noticed Pixel and got super excited.
“Kittt-teh,” she screamed pointing at the cat.
Pixel, on the other hand, was not amused and bolted to safer quarters. (I didn’t get a photo of her expression, but this should give you a good idea.)
Miss T looked high and low for Pixel, but the cat was just to quick for her.
I will say that Pixel has had some memorable experiences with the little humans. She has good reason to be weary.
Finally, after much searching, Teagan found Pixel under the coffee table.
Pixel, of course, bolted again and the process started all over.
At this age, they seem on a even playing ground. It will be interesting to see how this changes. I wanted to capture this moment because I know Teagan will continue to grow so fast.
