Before
The dining area had the same awful carpet as the front room when we moved in.
Plus it had some rickety french doors out to the enclosed patio.
After
We removed the carpet and painted the walls the same gray as the front room.
Next came painting the french doors and trim.
We installed dark brown velvet curtains to warm up the space during the winter months.
Of course, we then decided to replace the doors and windows.
We primarily use this area as thoroughfare between the front and back of the house. For large parties we set up buffet tables here which works out very well.
It’s also a good place to watch your niece learn to roll over.
