Over the weekend: painting the windows and a injury

The Spring List, Updated

Our Early Spring List is almost done. Nate was the VIP this weekend.

Nate tackled the big job of painting the trim around our large windows.

He also cleaned them up with his handy razor tool.

Roundup

I sprayed our back and side yard down with Roundup in preparation of the patio install. I personally am not a fan of Monsanto, the company that makes Roundup, but I don’t know of another product I could use that is safe for us and the cats. Anyone have ideas for me?

Andrea's Hand

But that’s about all I did because I cut my hand with a kitchen knife on Friday night that resulted in four stitches.

If you want to see the stitches, click the continue reading link below. I don’t want to show them to you unintentionally!

Although it sucks to get stitches, I am just so thankful for only receiving a flesh wound. I could have easily done some serious damage to my hand.

After visiting Urgent Care on Saturday morning, I was pretty bruised so I didn’t do much at all. Sunday was better and I tinkered around the house and sprayed the Roundup. Today is much, much better so I think the recovery will be fast. Doc said I can get the stitches out later this week.

So that was our weekend in a nut shell. I have a few projects to finish that I hope to get to after work this week. Our goal was to finish the list by Nate’s Spring Break and that’s less than a week away!
