Labor To Do
Labor Day means many things are Casa Concrete Home. It means Nate goes back to school teaching history. It means the my evenings become shorter with the waning light. It means I get to start thinking about cooking stews and hot chocolate. It means my November Election is fast approaching and I will begin working long hours soon.
It also means that the outdoor projects will get shut down for the winter soon. It means it time to speed up the process and get moving to finish everything up!
In honor of this last weekend of summer, here’s my rest of 2010 To Do List.
- Finish painting trim on all new windows and doors
- Finish changing out electrical boxes in master bedroom and office
- Start and FINISH concrete paver patio
- Paint back patio dark blue
- Paint kitchen
- Fix hole in great room ceiling*
- Cover chimney*
*Before weather gets wet.
Door Install Part 1
Although the new windows were very exciting, Nate and I were both thrilled to finally get in our new working doors. Their installation made an instant visual upgrade to our house.
The most complicated install was our double slider. Its original configuration was not structurally sound so the new door was pre-built with the panes of glass above the actual door to give it as much support as possible.
Now all the windows and doors just need to be framed with trim and we are good to go!
