Blame it on illness and the Olympics

I know, I know. I have been a stranger the last week on the blog. I caught a horrible flu bug over Valentine’s Weekend and just have not caught up since!

Nate and I have been working on my office/gym as well as side projects between rain storms and major Olympic watching.

Stay tuned for the office reveal later this week!

Birthday Bounty

Nate was cute and bought me two new software programs for my birthday. I am excited to learn how to use them.

I believe they are based on CAD – which I have no experience with so it may be a steep learning curve, but I do like a challenge.

Garden Planning

Don’t laugh, but here are my sad little photoshopped photos of the garden layout.

See my trellis along the side of the house? And my stepping stones around the the exterior? Then along the sidewalk will be our retaining wall.

Here’s the front side yard with future garden bed.

Can’t you visualize a row of tomatoes and herbs along the side of the house?

Now -  a little update on the treadmill…

Well we didn’t put it together. Just moving that sucker into the space took a lot of energy.

And left a path of destruction in the house. So we are going to take a step-by-step approach to getting it up and running.

Arrival

The treadmill has arrived. All 200lbs. Nate and I pulled and pushed it into the dining room last night.

And of course the cats were all over it.

Lets see if I can get Nate to help me put it together tonight during the season premier of Lost.

Bargain Find: Reusable Microfiber Cloth

Well this is a silly post, but I couldn’t help myself. Sometimes you find a item in the bargain bin that seems too good to be true.

With concrete floors throughout the house, I like using my Swiffer to dust between sweepings, but I hate the waste and cost of the disposable Swiffer cloths.

I have seen a few patterns online to make your own reusable cloth, but I have to admit I am lazy and don’t see myself spending the time to make one.

I have also tried other products, but they don’t fit quite right on the Swiffer. (I know -crazy- since they were made for others mops!)

So guess how excited I was to find a pack of two microfiber cloths in the dollar bin at my local Target.

They fit perfectly over the mop and for $0.50 each I was able to get a bunch for the price of one Swiffer mop pad pack.

Woo hoo! Major score.
